My name is Matt Van Stone and I am a 23 year old living just outside of Calgary Alberta. I have been playing guitar for 9 or so years and I started this site so I could have medium for talking about guitars. I taught myself to play mostly using online resources like tablature and chord files. My first guitar was a Yamaha acoustic which I still have. I also own an Epiphone Les Paul with EMG 81/85 pickups. When I started playing guitar I mostly played grunge. My favorite bands were Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden. Since then I have moved through phases of Classic Rock, Blues, Hard Rock, and am now mostly playing metal.

This site is a base for me to talk about cool products, guitar techniques, musicians and music, and just about whatever else I want. I hope that it is useful to beginners looking to learn guitar as well as advanced guitarists looking for whatever else. Thanks for visiting my site and I hope you find something interesting.
