Some Fun Finger Picking Songs

November 18th, 2006

To add on to my previous post about intense finger picking guitarists, here are some songs that I have learned over the years. It didn’t take me very long to come up with this list and I think that is because they are the ones that I play time and time again just because they are so much fun. Some of them aren’t even that hard, but will make you look like a guitar god. They are all very unique and it baffles my mind when thinking about what had to go into creating such an original song. Specifically Blackbird is a very simple yet creative piece of guitar writing.

Fleetwood Mac - Landslide
Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven
The Beatles - Blackbird
Crosby Stills & Nash - Helplessly Hoping
Led Zeppelin - Babe I’m gonna leave you
Zakk Wylde - Another Spoke In The Wheel

So download the above songs and grab the tabs.

Well I highly suggest you check out the Guitar Pro 5 software. I have a post about it here: Guitar Pro 5
You can download song files from gprotab.net and the program will play them back for you and show you on the screen how to play. It’s an amazing program and I wouldn’t be the player I am today without it.

If you aren’t interested in that I would say just search Google for Fleetwood Mac Landslide guitar tab. This should bring up a whole bunch of tab files that will help you with learning.
